Mindfulness

Introduction to Mindfulness (4 minutes) – Good short introduction to mindfulness and it’s benefits. You can also find some short guided mindfulness meditations here if you want to practice.

Mindfulness and Leadership, Health & the Power of Possibility (49 minutes) - Professor Ellen Langer, Department of Psychology, Harvard University, addresess the ADC Future Summit on May 30 in Melbourne. Good in-depth introduction to applied mindfulness from someone who has been researching it for 30 years. Her approach is a Western, non-mediation perspective on mindfulness.

Counterclockwise: the power of possibility' at Happiness & Its Causes 2012 (25 minutes) - Professor Ellen Langer... if we can turn back the clock psychologically, can we also turn it back physically? How does our belief in physical limits constrain us? Opening our minds to what's possible.


Strengths

The Science of Character - An engaging 8 minute video about the science behind the strengths approach to happiness, results, and meaning. 

VIA Character Strengths Survey – well known 15 minute survey that will give you your top 5 Character Strengths for free. Costs $20 for all 24 strength results.

StandOut – This survey identifies your dominant groupings of strengths. Outlines the relative strength of nine strength constellations. Normally costs $15 but currently free if you click on "Enter Key" at the top, and type in the Enter Key: LEANIN00    (the last two digits being zeros).

Also has a lot of good information on how to apply and develop your strengths after you have completed the survey. 

Inspirational Leadership Strengths Survey – This free tool was sponsored by the UK government. It measures 18 attributes of leadership that were identified as inspiring followers to follow leaders.


Managing Energy NOT Time

The Power of Full Engagement – 10 minute overview of the book. No point in having your time perfectly scheduled if you don’t have the energy to perform.


Compassion

Self-Compassion: A Healthier Way of Relating to Yourself - Dr. Kristin Neff is an Associate Professor in Human Development and Culture, Educational Psychology Department, University of Texas.
